TrueMeasure is free to use, and we intend to keep it that way. To cover the costs of running the site, some pages contain affiliate links: if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
The short version: we may earn a commission if you buy through links on this site. It never changes the price you pay, and it never changes what our calculators recommend.
How it works
When a calculator tells you how many bags of concrete, sheets of drywall, or deck boards you need, we may link to retailers where you can buy those materials. Those links are affiliate links: the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale if you buy after clicking. You pay exactly the same price as going to the retailer directly.
What this does not change
- Our math is independent. Calculator results, coverage rates, and waste factors are based on standard material specifications — not on which retailer pays the highest commission.
- We don't rank products by commission. Where we link to specific products, it's because they're widely available standard materials for the job.
- Calculators stay free. No accounts, no paywalls, no feature gates tied to affiliate revenue.
